Club Tournament Rules
(Effective from May 1st 2009)

DEFINITIONS

1)      Cheshire Club Player – a player who has paid the relevant Club and HPA playing membership subscription.

2)      Overseas Sponsored Player  - a player who is not a national of a member state of the EU.

3)      OSP’s – with Cheshire Polo Club professional membership qualify as Cheshire Playing members in all Club tournaments excluding -6 to -2 and -4 to 0 goal tournaments.

4)      Visiting Players & Teams – a visiting player or team may only play in a maximum of three Cheshire Polo club tournaments during any one season. After which any visiting player or visiting team member has to become a playing member of Cheshire Polo Club.

 Club Tournaments for -6 to -2 and -4 to 0 Goal Teams (Open to Cheshire and Visiting Teams)
The classification of a Cheshire Club team is one including a minimum of three Cheshire Polo Club players who are not sponsored players.  There is no maximum handicap of any individual player apart from specified tournaments when there will be a maximum handicap of +2..

Club Tournaments for -2 to 2 Goal Teams (Open to Cheshire Club and Visiting Teams)
The classification of a Cheshire Club team is one including a minimum of three Cheshire Polo Club players.  There is no maximum handicap of any individual player.

 Club Tournaments for 2 to 4 and 4 to 6 Goal Teams (Open to Cheshire Club and Visiting Teams)
The classification of a Cheshire Club team is one including a minimum of two Cheshire Polo Club players.  There is no maximum handicap of any individual player.

 Entries from Visiting Teams to be submitted to the Polo Manager on the Club’s Official Entry Form no later than five days prior to the date the tournament commences accompanied by a cheque for the team entry fee.

 Entries from Cheshire Polo Club Teams to be submitted to the Polo Manager on the Club’s Official Entry Form (fully completed) and accompanied by a cheque for the entry fee latest 6.00 p.m. on the Monday evening prior to the date the tournament commences.

Individual entry forms and tournament conditions for each tournament available from the Polo Manager on request.

 Note :  All players in Club Tournaments to have paid Club and HPA subscriptions. Overseas Players or their Patrons must be prepared to produce C.V.’s and Work Permits if asked to do so.  Any cup/trophy won by a visiting team may remain in the Club’s possession at their discretion.

The Pilgrim’s Cup (National 8 Goal Subsidiary) 4 to 8
