Club Rules In Relation To Safety & InsuranceClub Rules In Relation To Safety & InsuranceClub Rules In Relation To Safety & Insurance

Safety helmets must be worn by anyone riding on the Club’s property.

Stick & Balling/Exercising/Schooling:  There will be designated areas for this, weather permitting, at no charge to members.  Any playing member found taking anyone to stick and ball at the grounds who is not a playing member of the club and covered by HPA insurance will automatically incur a fine and a ban from playing until the fine is paid, as this is a breach of club rules.

Lessons to Club Playing Members on the Club’s Premises:  The only people entitled to give lessons to other CPC playing members on the club’s grounds or premises are the Cheshire Polo Club Official Coaches, the club’s professional players and playing members who have paid their full club and HPA subscriptions or any visiting HPA coach who has a pre-arranged invitation from the committee of the CPC.

Lessons to Non Club Members:  The only person entitled to give lessons to non club members is an official CPC coach who has the authorisation of the club’s committee and can give lessons to non CPC members on the club’s premises who have paid their HPA Affiliation Fee.  The Club’s Committee will only give authorisation for non HPA qualified coaches after sight of valid third party public liability insurance cover.

Grooms Riding their Employer’s Ponies:  Grooms employed and paid by CPC playing members who have paid the club and HPA subscription may exercise their employer’s ponies on the club exercise areas and “stick and ball” areas but may not play in practice chukkas unless they have joined as a chukka member or pay chukka fees as a non member together with their full HPA affiliation fee.

Member’s Responsibilities:  Each member of the Club is responsible for ensuring that all their employees, professional players and grooms, are aware of and abide by the Club’s Rules.

Insurance:  The club recommends to all playing members that while the HPA insurance only currently covers them for third party liability that each playing member takes out their own personal accident insurance policy.

Persons and Vehicles are admitted on condition that neither the Cheshire Polo Club Committee nor any person acting for them, will be responsible or liable for any accident, injury or illness, damage or claim arising directly or indirectly to any persons, horses, dogs, vehicles or property however such damage, injury or loss may be caused.
